1 day down, a much brighter start to the second day, lots of sore heads and plenty more thumping beats to come, welcome to Saturday of Global Gathering 2010!

Saturday for TGPromotions.com started with a dash down to Reading to pick up some additional camera gear, before arriving back on site at around lunchtime, to see numerous people starting to emerge from their tents looking slightly worse for wear!
We grabbed a few lucky.. or should that be unlucky campers to ask them live on film what they thought of the festival so far, including best and worst bits, and who they were here to see. Most met with a great response, and only a couple shied away from the camera. It was a great atmosphere in the campsites, despite the obvious hangovers, and the general mood was of excitement for the music ahead for the day!
With Dizzee Rascal headlining the main stage for Saturday, there were a lot of positive responses to this decision from the festival goers we spoke to in the morning, and the set itself went down just as well, if not better, than expected from all the excitement earlier in the day!
As is the norm for these mainstream artists, TGPromotions.com could be seen dashing into the Press Pit of the main stage alongside a host of other photographers for just 3 songs, where Tristan Griffiths grabbed a few shots of the days headline act before set off back across the field to cover the HTID & Random Concept Arenas for the rest of the evening.
Earlier in the afternoon TGPromotions.com had been talking to people entering the site for the first time as day ticket holders, to get their thoughts, and who they were there to see, all live on film.

Following that hour of documetary style filming we returned to the HTID arena, to cover BBC Radio 1‘s very own DJ Kutski, who is regularly heard playing 1-3am on Friday nights, bringing listeners the best in hardcore and hard dance and of course his own feature of the show : The hardest record in the world right now! And his performance for HTID was no different!
Following Kutski‘s mix up of various harder styles of music, we saw what HTID like to call the “Kick Off Set” – Which today was the Head Honcho of Raverbaby and HTID, the one and only DJ Hixxy himself, alongside multi award winning Hardcore MC Storm! And what a set it was, with a full arena bouncing around to some of the finest UK Hardcore he had to offer, this certainly did set the arena up for the rest of the evening!
At the same time as HTID‘s kick off set, Next door in the Random Concept arena, they too had an awesome set playing, with Hazard alongside the legendary MCs Shabba D, and rising star of the scene, Harry Shotta!
Interestingly Harry Shotta has notably been featured on a Kool FM show where the full UNCZ line up were on back to back with Main Stage headliner Dizzee Rascal alongside D Double E.
So a real mix up of talent across all arenas, with more links than most people at the festival realised!
The Random Concept arena went on to bring the very best artists from today’s Drum ‘n’ Bass scene, ensuring a jam packed arena all night – At one point the arena was 50 deep OUTSIDE the entrances – So a massive well done Random Concept!!
Returning to the HTID Arena to support TG Bookings artists, also representing their own label Broken Records, which they run alongside MC Whizzkid, the awesome B2B brother combo that is Stylus & AudioJunkie, we walked in to hear them playing slammer after slammer, all from their own studios, BIG UP guys, and keep up the great work!!
The rest of the line up in this arena was filled with the usual suspects seen at all the major Hardcore events, including artists both new and old! The line up really does read like a who’s who of the scene, as well as a hint on who are the next artists to watch for the coming years!
Biggest selling solo Hardcore artist Darren Styles brought the arena some of the very best releases and unreleased new material from his own label Junkbox, getting the whole arena stomping and singing along!
Other notable and different sets included; the worlds number one Hardcore DJ Gammer with Welsh Number 1 & Hardcore Evolution‘s very own MC Wotsee; Uproar‘s MC Rude alongside the southcoast badboys from THC – Supreme & MOB!
It was also great to see some older tastes catered for, with Force & Junior taking things back to the Old Skool for an hour. A real refreshing change for the main Hardcore arena! Great work HTID!
After chants of “SE1, SE1..” after Static‘s earlier set in the day, I’m sure the crowd were extremely happy to see this combo together for a set with Breeze & Re-Con!
And as expected the world’s number one hardcore MC smashed up both his sets in true style, dropping some brand new lyrics, as well as getting the crowd involved with some of the older ones!
Stepping up firstly with masterminds who own and have creatively grown the unique Quosh brand, DJs Sy & Chris Unknown.

Then again for the last set, also known as the Power Hour, alongside the world’s longest running hardcore DJ & Co-owner of Essential Platinum , DJ Dougal going back to back with Warped Science owner and one of Raverbaby’s newest signings, as well as Breakthrough DJ of the year 2009 – Al Storm!
Dashing back during the Quosh set to the Random Concept Arena we managed to capture veteran DnB MC Skibadee alongside Bryan Gee.
Both arenas were absolutely rocking all night and not a single set let up on the pace and energy, a really well organised and well thought out set of line ups!
TGPromotions.com also went on a bit of a stickering mission, with the help of Leigh Creaser to help spread the word about Whizzkid‘s awesome clothing sponsors TerraTag.com
